About Mr. Lin
Mr. Lin graduated 2003 from the University of California Los Angeles as a Computer Engineer. Since, he has worked to foster knowledge, curiosity, and passion in S.T.E.M. for countless K-8 students. His journey working with students started with Odyssey of the Mind, a creative problem-solving and engineering competition for K-12 students, and moved on to Science Olympiad where he specializes in physics and engineering. Under his guidance, students have achieved top state, national, and international success. From conventional topics such as mechanics and circuitry, to specialty events such as vehicle design, Mr. Lin’s experiences span a wide range of topics. Mr. Lin started this class in an effort to introduce younger students to physics, a subject typically held off until the 11th grade. Historically, physics has been one of the most difficult subjects for high school students to learn. Many students become frustrated when they have difficulty understanding physics, especially when they are preoccupied by time-consuming extracurriculars. This class serves as a soft-introduction to physics for students entering high school. Whether you have a burning curiosity to understand the mechanics of our universe or are looking for a way to make high school physics easier, this class is for you!
